Buying Used

Some of the best things in our home weren't bought new.

I love the hunt for something that has been overlooked—a solid piece of furniture, a vintage find, or something that simply needs a little imagination to become useful again. Buying used isn't just about paying less. For me, it's about finding quality, character, and value in things that already exist.

A well-made piece of furniture can outlast several generations of inexpensive replacements. An older piece may have better construction, more character, and a story that something brand new simply can't have.

And sometimes what I find isn't exactly what I want. That's when the fun begins.

I love seeing what something could become, getting my hands dirty, and figuring out how to make it work for our home and our life. There's something satisfying about taking a piece someone else no longer wanted and giving it a purpose again.

Here I'll share the things we've found secondhand, the furniture and vintage pieces we've brought home, the deals that were worth the hunt, and the transformations that turned an overlooked item into something we love.

Because buying used isn't necessarily about having less.

Sometimes it's about getting more—more quality, more character, and more life out of what already exists.
