Our Home
Our home has changed a lot over the years, and I imagine it always will.
I've never been interested in creating a home that looks like it came straight out of a catalog. I want our home to feel like us—comfortable, useful, interesting, and filled with things that have a reason for being here.
As I've gotten older, I've become much more intentional about what we bring through the door. I would rather have fewer things that are well made and built to last than fill our home with things we'll replace a few years from now. I love solid wood furniture, pieces with character, and the combination of old and new.
But quality doesn't mean everything has to be expensive, and minimalism doesn't mean having an empty house.
For me, it's about purpose.
A bookshelf can hold the cookbooks we actually use while the things around them serve a purpose too. A vintage piece can add character while becoming something we use every day. Even something as simple as a brass nutcracker can turn an ordinary family tradition into something memorable.
And then there are the things I make.
I love looking at a problem and thinking, There has to be a better way to do this. Getting my hands dirty, transforming something, or making a solution myself gives me a satisfaction that buying something off the shelf simply can't.
Our home is a work in progress—not because it's unfinished, but because we're always changing, learning, and finding better ways to live in it.
Here I share the rooms, furniture, projects, transformations, and outdoor spaces that make our house home.
Decorating & Furniture
The furniture and pieces we choose for our home are meant to be lived with, not simply looked at. Here you'll find our mix of old and new, furniture transformations, decorating decisions, vintage finds, and the reasoning behind what we choose to keep.

Gardening
Growing things, learning as we go, and bringing a little more green into our lives. Whether we're caring for houseplants, growing something useful, or simply trying to keep something alive, we're figuring it out along the way.
Our home is always a work in progress, and that's part of what makes it ours. We're not chasing a picture-perfect house. We're creating a home that supports the way our family actually lives.
